A workbook to teach people how to avoid conflict when possible and to find better ways to deal with conflict when it is unavoidable. Designed for use with children and adolescents who experience frequent conflict, this workbook teaches seven cognitive and behavioral skills to reduce interpersonal antagonism. These include: • Recognising that circumstances are often the source of conflict • Assuming personal responsibility for conflict • Learning the other person's point of view • Disputing beliefs that justify aggression • Thinking ahead about consequences • Using assertive rather than aggressive behaviour • Using problem-solving skills
