BUSTED is modelled on a 'Monopoly' type board game which involves counters moving round a board and landing on squares representing important areas of life. Dilemmas and questions cover topics such as:

- Health
- Fun
- Action
By making choices, players can find out what might happen next, and gain (or lose) points in the process. As well as voices clips, sound effects, music and interactivity to reinforce learning and maintain interest, BUSTED's unique 'mentor' feature lets users choose an advisor to comment on their choices and encourage them throughout the game.
